Now, if you go to https://www.hongfire.com/forum/showthread.php?t=59189 they've posted some great tutorials on using AGTH and Atlas- which seems complicated at first. But, it's actually super easy.

This site is really useful if you're having trouble getting a game to work. (http://blgames.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=gametips&action=display&thread=268)

And they also have this AGTH tutorial: http://blgames.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=gametips&action=display&thread=250

That being said! You may know this already, but to run a Japanese game, you need to go to Control Panel, Region and Language Settings, and then change your system locale to Japanese. Then restart your computer. Do this before installing any game. (I use hongfire.com to download most of my game- you'll have to use a torrent client. I use U-Torrent. http://www.utorrent.com/downloads )
(---If you've never used a torrent before it's really simple. Download a torrent client like utorrent then download a .torrent file [like the one in the provided link below] and open the file with Utorrent. It'll then start downloading (ie: leeching) the game from other people (peers). When it's 100% finished- bam! That's it!)

Another thing, run all games in Administrative mode.

That's a link for Starry Sky ~in Winter~. It was the first game I ever played. :D I also recommend it because it's simple to get to work with AGTH and Atlas.

Here's a basic tutorial by yours truly! :D

-In C:\ make AGTH it's own folder named 'AGTH'.
-Put the AGTH.exe file and the AGTH.dll file (from the megaupload link) inside that 'AGTH' folder.
It should look like this:

-Install Atlas.
-Change your system locale to Japanese (by going to Control Panel and then to Language Settings)
-Restart computer
-Download Starry Sky in Autumn using uTorrent.
-Mount the .iso file using Daemon Tools. (http://www.daemon-tools.cc/eng/downloads)
----*Run Daemon Tools
----*Right clink on the mini-icon in the start bar [looks like a lightning symbol]
----*Go to'Virtual CD/DVD-ROM'
----*Go to Device 0: No Media.
----*Click Mount image.
----*Locate the .iso file for the game and double click that.

-Install the game. (It will be in Japanese, just keep clicking next and yes, it should be obvious which one that is. xD)
-Find the game's directory (usually in Program Files) and fine the Starry Sky in Winter .exe or whatever the game title .exe file.
-Make a shortcut of the .exe file and place it on the desktop.
-Right click on the shortcut file and go to Properties.
-Go to the "Target" text box and edit it so it says:
C:\AGTH\agth.exe /C "C:\Program Files\Asgard\...."
The /C is the basic command (parameter) in AGTH for just running a game using AGTH. For more specific text threads, other parameters can be used. Another parameter would just be added after the /C one. For example: C:\AGTH\agth.exe /C /HA8@41A49D. That is the parameter needed for 'Butlers' to function properly. Also, make sure there is a space between /C and the ' "C:\ ' bit.
It should look like this, except there might be 'Y' Japanese symbols instead of / marks. And your install location will be different.

- Click the 'compatibility' tab and check the run in Adminstrative mode box.
-Click OK.
-Run Atlas.
-Click 'Quick Atlas'.
-Go to your start menu bar and right click on the green mouse looking mini-icon on the bottom right (assuming your start bar is on the bottom of your screen).
-Click Automatic Clipboard Translation.
-Run your game (Starry Sky in this case) using the shortcut.
-Enjoy! :D

It's really simple, even though it took that long to type out. xDD

If you get stuck with something or have any questions, feel free to ask me! :D

I wish you were in the states, I could just give you all of this information and at least two games on a flash drive! D:

Sorry, ladies and gents. This journal is friends only. Though, don't be turned away. Just leave a comment and there's a 99% chance I'll add you. I just want to know who exactly is reading my journal.

DISCLAIMER: I have the maturity level of a 16 year old boy, and I'm known to rattle on endlessly about certain subjects. Also, I write what could be considered "homoerotica"- just a warning. If that really bothers you, you might want to reconsider adding me.

tl;dr: I am not responsible for any man-sex that may be posted and offend your virgin eyes.
